What We Do

Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene(WASH) Program

Water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are critical to reducing water-borne disease burdens.

Our organization partners with community-based groups to find effective sanitation approaches for healthier, more productive lives.

Our goal is to create scalable business models and technologies for sustainable sanitation services across the value chain.
We invest in clean water and hygiene access technologies and methods.

We are also working on an innovative rainwater harvesting project utilizing portable collection devices.

Child Abuse Prevention Program

AAF is dedicated to stopping child abuse and neglect in the Global South by working with our partner organizations.

We believe that education is key to preventing abuse, so we work with communities to raise awareness and provide support to children who are forced to work for their survival.

Our program also works with schools to generate income and prevent neglect and dropouts.

We help create child protection teams in rural communities to ensure that children are safe and receive the care they need.

Additionally, we have an organization of lawyers that offer free legal services to children whose rights have been violated.

Our program also participates in research activities on children’s rights, including street children.

By partnering with us, you can help us achieve our goal of protecting and educating children in the Global South.

Together, we can create a brighter future for the children in the Global South

"Dear Friend" Pen Pal Program

The “Dear Friend” Pen Pal Program is a collaboration between Katie Burke and Amsha Africa Foundation.

Our goal is to foster long-term, one-on-one relationships between US and Kenyan children, promoting literacy and cultural awareness while providing a sense of connection and care across the globe.

Through this program, children will learn the art of letter writing, improving their written communication skills while experiencing the joy of receiving and sending physical mail.

Our ultimate aim is to help all participating children achieve their literacy goals while also fostering a sense of cultural curiosity and empathy.

Join us in preserving the art of letter writing and promoting cross-cultural connections by visiting our website through the hyperlinked text.

As a supporter, you can help us sustain and expand the “Dear Friend” Pen Pal Program, bringing joy and education to children in the US, Kenya, and other Global South countries.

Gigster Program

Did you know that every year, a staggering 50% of graduates in Africa struggle to secure employment?

Additionally, statistics reveal that even educated minority populations in the Global North face a higher risk of unemployment.

That’s why we developed the groundbreaking “Africa Gigsters” program, which serves as a bridge between talented youth and online job opportunities offered by business owners, entrepreneurs, and other professionals seeking to outsource their work.

Through our platform, we empower these young individuals to tap into their full potential, gain valuable work experience, and earn a decent income.

Our program is not restricted to African youth alone, but rather extends its reach to talented individuals worldwide who are seeking a means to showcase their skills and earn a livelihood.

Together, let’s create a better future for the youth
