Laptop Donation Program: Expanding Opportunity Through Technology
Access to technology can transform lives.
A laptop is more than a device—it is a gateway to education, digital skills, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, innovation, and connection to the global economy.
Through the Amsha Africa Foundation (AAF) Laptop Donation Program, we work with qualified nonprofit organizations, schools, community institutions, and workforce development programs to place technology into the hands of students, educators, job seekers, and underserved communities that need it most.
Our goal is simple:
Bridge the digital divide by expanding access to technology and creating pathways to learning, opportunity, and economic empowerment.
Why This Program Matters
Millions of students and community members around the world still lack reliable access to computers and digital learning tools.
Without technology, individuals face significant barriers to education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and participation in today’s digital economy.
By responsibly distributing donated laptops through trusted local partners, AAF helps communities build digital literacy, strengthen educational outcomes, expand workforce readiness, and unlock new opportunities for growth and success.
Technology alone does not change lives.
Opportunity does.
Technology simply helps unlock it.
Who We Partner With
AAF works exclusively with verified organizations that demonstrate a clear community need and the capacity to responsibly manage donated devices.
Eligible organizations include:
Registered nonprofit organizations (NGOs and CBOs)
Schools, colleges, and educational institutions
Workforce development and vocational training programs
Libraries and community learning centers
Youth-serving organizations
Community-led initiatives with demonstrated impact
Please Note: AAF does not accept laptop requests from individuals.
Eligibility Requirements
Organizations applying for laptop donations should be able to demonstrate:
Legal registration and verifiable organizational status
A clear educational, workforce, or community-development use case
Capacity to receive, manage, and distribute devices responsibly
An estimate of anticipated beneficiaries and expected outcomes
A commitment to providing impact updates following distribution
Applications that align closely with AAF’s mission and demonstrate strong community impact may receive priority consideration.
Priority Areas
While all qualified applications are considered, priority is often given to programs focused on:
Education & Digital Learning
Supporting students, educators, schools, and digital literacy initiatives.
Workforce Development
Preparing youth and adults with the digital skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship.
Women & Girls in Technology
Expanding access to technology and digital opportunities for women and underserved populations.
Community Learning Hubs
Creating shared-access environments where technology can benefit entire communities.
STEM, AI & Innovation Programs
Supporting future-ready skills that help learners thrive in an increasingly digital world.
How the Process Works
1. Submit an Application
Organizations complete and submit the official laptop donation request form.
2. Review & Verification
AAF verifies organizational status, evaluates the request, and assesses program readiness.
3. Qualification & Prioritization
Applications are reviewed based on community impact, organizational capacity, and alignment with program objectives.
4. Allocation Decision
Selected organizations are contacted regarding device availability and next steps.
5. Logistics & Distribution
Shipment, delivery, and distribution plans are coordinated with the recipient organization.
6. Impact Reporting
Recipient organizations may be asked to provide updates, photos, stories, and impact reports demonstrating how the devices are being used.
Important Information
Because demand significantly exceeds available inventory, submission of an application does not guarantee approval or receipt of laptops.
Please note:
- Laptop inventory varies throughout the year.
- Demand regularly exceeds available supply.
- There is no guaranteed approval timeline.
- Devices are intended solely for educational, workforce, and community-development purposes.
- Donated devices may not be sold, transferred for profit, or used for commercial resale.
- Additional documentation may be requested during the review process.
Our Commitment
AAF is committed to ensuring that donated technology reaches communities where it can create the greatest possible impact.
We carefully evaluate requests, work through trusted local partners, and prioritize programs that demonstrate measurable outcomes, long-term sustainability, and meaningful community benefit.
Through responsible technology distribution and strong partnerships, we are helping students learn, educators teach, entrepreneurs grow, and communities thrive.
Apply for Support
If your organization is interested in partnering with AAF through the Laptop Donation Program, we invite you to submit an application for consideration.
Together, we can expand digital access, create opportunity, and help bridge the digital divide—one device, one learner, and one community at a time.
