Education Seeds – An Initiative of Amsha Africa Foundation
Amsha Africa Foundation’s signature initiative is dedicated to empowering girls and young women by creating pathways to education, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic opportunities. Through mentorship programs, skills training, capacity-building workshops, and access to resources, the initiative equips young women with the confidence, knowledge, and practical tools needed to become independent, resilient, and impactful leaders within their communities.
The program focuses on breaking barriers that limit the potential of girls and young women by promoting access to quality education, nurturing innovation and creativity, and encouraging active participation in social and economic development. By fostering leadership skills and entrepreneurial thinking, Amsha aims to inspire a generation of empowered women who can create positive change, build successful futures, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Empowering Bee Farmers Across East Africa
At Amsha Africa Foundation, we believe that rural farmers are the heart of Africa’s agricultural future. Our Bee Venom and Royal Jelly Initiative is a powerful example of how local knowledge, sustainable methods, and global partnerships can unlock new income streams and preserve biodiversity.
Training & Empowering Bee Farmers
We work directly with smallholder bee farmers across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda—providing hands-on training, certified equipment, and continuous support for ethical bee venom and royal jelly extraction. Our trainers teach farmers how to use non-lethal electro-stimulation techniques for venom collection, and how to harvest royal jelly from queen cells using professional-grade tools.
Building Water Bunds: A Step-by-Step Guide to Restoring Semi-Arid Land
Empowering Local Communities to Combat Desertification
Introduction
In the battle against desertification and the restoration of semi-arid land, water bunds play a crucial role. These raised barriers are simple to construct and highly effective in preventing erosion and retaining water for vegetation.
This step-by-step guide is designed to empower local communities in semi-arid areas with the knowledge to build water bunds effectively.
Supporting Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining in Rural Africa
Amsha Africa Foundation (AAF) actively collaborates with rural communities engaged in artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) in Africa.
Our objectives for these mining communities are:
- Provide technical assistance and access to financing to enhance productivity, while ensuring social protection and fair labor standards.
- Promote integrated rural development strategies by fostering the interplay between mining and other aspects of local economies.
- Pilot clean supply chains and fair trade minerals to promote responsible practices throughout the supply chain.
- Establish fair trade market linkages locally and internationally, ensuring that local communities receive fair value for their mineral resources.
Together, we can empower and uplift rural mining communities in Africa.
WASH
Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Program
According to UNICEF almost fifty percent of the developing worlds population-2.5 billion people-lack improved sanitation facilities and over 884 million people so use unsafe drinking water sources. Inadequate access to safe water and sanitation services coupled win poor hygiene practices kills and sickens thousands of children everyday and leads to impoverished and diminished opportunities for thousands more.
Poor sanitation water and hygiene have many other serious repercussions. Children- and particularly girls- are denied the right to education because their schools lack private and decent sanitation facilities, women are forced to spend large parts of their day fetching water
Poor farmers and wage earners are less productive due to illness, health systems are overwhelmed and national economies suffer without (WASH) Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Preserving Health and Heritage: Organic Seed Banking
At Amsha Africa Foundation, we are committed to safeguarding the health of our communities by nurturing and preserving organic seeds. In a world where genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and unhealthy foods are becoming the norm, we believe in the power of nature to nourish our bodies, protect our ecosystems, and sustain future generations.
