A Day of Impact in Chepkebuge: Technology, AI, Health, Sports and Community Empowerment Come Together

Chepkebuge, Nandi County — 8 August 2026

More than 5,000 people from the Chepkebuge community and surrounding areas came together for the Aldai Rise Annual XCountry & Medical Outreach – Chepkebuge 2nd Edition, a powerful day of sport, healthcare, technology, education and community empowerment.

Organized in partnership with RiseTech Initiative, the event brought together government, corporate, nonprofit, community and development partners around a shared goal: creating opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities.

Empowering the Next Generation Through Technology and AI

A key highlight of the event was the Amsha Africa Technology & AI Empowerment initiative, supported by Intel through the generous donation of laptops.

The technology resources supported digital literacy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IT training, giving young people and community members an opportunity to engage with technology and develop practical digital skills.

For Amsha Africa Foundation, access to technology is an important part of creating sustainable opportunities. The initiative reflects the Foundation’s commitment to expanding digital inclusion and ensuring that young people in communities across Africa are not left behind in the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The support from Intel demonstrates how strategic partnerships can help bring technology closer to communities and create pathways toward education, innovation and future employment.

Healthcare That Reaches the Community

Healthcare was another major pillar of the event, with the Nandi County medical camp providing essential medical services to members of the community.

One of the significant interventions was cataract care and surgeries, helping restore vision and improve the quality of life for beneficiaries who otherwise may have faced barriers to accessing specialized eye care.

The medical outreach demonstrated the importance of bringing essential healthcare services directly to communities while strengthening partnerships between local government, organizations and community stakeholders.

Athletics Brings the Community Together

The event also featured Athletics Kenya races, bringing together runners and community members in a celebration of sport, health and talent.

Beyond competition, the races created an opportunity to promote physical wellbeing, youth participation and community unity.

The energy surrounding the races reflected the strong sporting culture within Nandi County and provided a platform for young people to participate, compete and showcase their potential.

Supporting Women and Girls Through Reusable Pads

Another important component was the distribution of reusable sanitary pads by Kenya Works, supporting menstrual health and dignity among girls and women in the community.

Access to menstrual products remains an important part of keeping girls in school and enabling women and girls to participate fully in community and economic life.

A Community United Through Partnership

With an attendance of more than 5,000 people, the Chepkebuge event demonstrated the power of partnership in bringing technology, healthcare, education, sport and community empowerment closer to the people.

The Aldai Rise Annual XCountry & Medical Outreach – Chepkebuge 2nd Edition brought together a diverse network of organizations and sponsors committed to creating meaningful opportunities and improving the wellbeing of the community.

The event was made possible through the support and collaboration of:

  • Community organizations, volunteers and other partners – Supporting implementation, mobilization and community participation.

This collective effort demonstrated what is possible when government, nonprofits, businesses, technology partners, sports organizations and community stakeholders come together around a shared vision.

From equipping young people with digital and AI skills, to providing essential healthcare, promoting athletics, supporting girls and women, and strengthening access to education, the event created a platform for holistic community empowerment.

Amsha Africa Foundation is proud to have been part of this collaborative effort and grateful to every sponsor, partner, volunteer and community member who contributed to making the day a success.

The initiative complemented the broader focus of the event on education, health, dignity and sustainable community development.

For Amsha Africa Foundation, the event represents more than a single day of activities. It is an example of how education, technology, healthcare, sports and community empowerment can work together to create sustainable opportunities.

Looking Beyond the Event

The Chepkebuge outreach reinforces Amsha Africa Foundation’s belief that sustainable development is strongest when communities, governments, businesses and nonprofit organizations work together.

From introducing young people to AI and digital technologies, to supporting access to healthcare, promoting sports and protecting the dignity of girls and women, every component of the event contributed to a broader vision of community empowerment.

Amsha Africa Foundation remains committed to building partnerships that expand opportunity, strengthen local capacity and create lasting impact across Africa.

Together, we are building sustainable opportunities across Africa.
